First presented at UKSpace in 2019, XO-ROV-2U is the world’s first cubesat compatible roving framework for space applications. XO-ROV-2U forms the outer shell for Exobotics’ own planned lunar missions and includes a full roving platform with unique folding architecture for protection during landing procedures.

Designed to be deployed from any CubeSat dispenser, from any mothership, XO-ROV-2U unfolds after deployment and opens direct communications with earth before beginning its journey across the lunar surface. Available in 1U to 24U sizes, more than anything else, XO-ROV-2U demonstrates our vision for distributed and cooperative space operations.
